The Advanced Rope Rigging Physics course is a CPD workshop that will take you on a deep dive into the physics behind modern rope access and rope rescue techniques. A practical workshop, you will build multiple rope systems and evaluate them to understand forces, loading directions and how to evaluate and manage systems so they don’t fail on you in operation.
This workshop covers the use of Sklotec ACX, Harken lockhead and Harken riggers winch for rope based load lifting tasks
The Arizona Vortex is a component based Artificial High Directional (AHD). Commonly used in rope rescue and rope access situations where the rigging requires an anchor point to be created in free space above an edge or in free space over the edge transition. You can use it as a Tripod, A frame or single pole. Because it is a flexible, modular system it is essential that riggers are fully aware of the fundamental principles of how to select it’s build configuration, evaluate the forces generated and assemble and operate it correctly.
The Arizona Vortex 2 workshop builds upon the fundamental knowledge supplied in AV1. It takes delegates further to understand the differences between Anchor and Deviation Frames and how to assess and control forces applied to the frame when used in tripod, A frame and Mono Pole configurations. Delegates will explore how to rig the AHD with the head over an edge and begin to develop experience in moving the applied force vector outside of the compressive footprint of the frame.
This practical one-day instructor update is specifically designed for emergency service personnel and rescue trainers preparing clients for swiftwater and flood response.
The Arizona Vortex 3 workshop is designed for experienced riggers who have a good grasp of AHDs. It will push your technical rigging knowledge further with force analysis, jamb anchors, vertical rigging and luffing frames.
This course includes practical and theoretical elements and provides an introduction to regulations, legislation and equipment relevant to working at height. Delegates will be introduced to industry best practice including safe systems of work featuring work restraint, work positioning and fall arrest systems.
This course covers safe working at heights principles and then trains participants to deal with a colleague who has fallen and is hanging in their fall arrest system. It is designed for workers who may be exposed to the risk of falling while at work and provides the skills required to recover co-workers safely to the ground.
The Rope Rescue Operator (RRO) course introduces the knowledge and skills required by personnel to operate safely and effectively during rope rescues and be an active part of a rope rescue team working under the supervision of Rope Team leader.
The Rope Rescue Technician (RRT) course takes the rope rescue foundation skills from the Rope Rescue Operators Course and provides the knowledge and skills to design, assess, rig, operate and supervise rope rescue solutions in both man-made and natural environments. You will have the skills to plan and lead a working at height / rope rescue job.
The Rope Rescue Specialist (RRS) course takes your rope rescue rigging to another level. This workshop is designed for experienced operators and team leaders who face complex access and rescue challenges using the latest equipment and techniques.
Designed for future instructors, the Rope Rescue Operator Instructor (RROI) course provides the skills to train operators in performing safe and effective rope rescues while working within a team led by Rope Rescue Technicians. This course is spread over 5 days.
This three-day course, certified by Rescue 3 Europe, evaluates candidates on their ability to instruct and assess rope rescue operators effectively. Designed for those who aspire to teach and mentor within rope rescue teams, the assessment focuses on advanced technical skills, instructional techniques, and safety management.
The Rope Rescue Technician Instructor (RRTI) course covers the teaching of concepts and techniques to enable small teams to undertake technical rope rescues. A building block approach is used throughout the course so that candidates can progress from key concepts through to the rigging and operation of full systems for raising, lowering and highline rescues.
