Solutions to Get Your Team Access to Difficult Sites

UK wide Access for Working on Water, Rope Access, Working at Height & Working in Confined Spaces

We know what we are doing! - We have been doing it along time, we have been tested many times by conditions, circumstances and difficulties on site. We are not "new entrants to a market" with only a few months or a couple of years exposure. ISAR3 provide premium, reliable expertise based upon having done it for so long. This means we have high demand and have to be selective in terms of who we help. We do this because when it comes to specialist access & rescue we are proven by experience - it takes years to build up this competence to benefit your team and project. Many of our requests for help are for a combination of site hazards such as working on water including working at height or confined space entry using rope access techniques etc. So when it absolutely has to work safely, the solution on site has to adapt to conditions, the team on site must not leave you, your team or client exposed to delays or problems... ISAR3 can help. If what you want is a "tick box" rescue team to just turn up & sit in the van so you can get past your client and get working, we are not for you. There are plenty of companies that can help, but its not for us. If you need experienced, flexible experts who will engage with you, remain proactive and positive, challenge your assumptions while helping you to think ahead to minimize future delays and support you to solve problems & maintain safety and progress, we might be right for you if your serious about professional best practice.

TRAINING

Impactful Capability Development for Safe Access and Rescue from Hazardous Work Sites....

Not all training providers are the same, there are plenty of good ones, more poor ones and a few that are exceptional. ISAR3 trainers are practitioners, not "Parrots". We have limited our capacity by deliberate choice - we only use our own in house fully nurtured & experienced trainers who deliver the very best learning experiences. They do this using the methods they have honed and developed over decades in the game to deliver performance outcomes for you and your team. ISAR3 are known for consistently delivering outstanding training tailored to support safe working in hazardous environments. Don't take our word for it, look at the testimonials on this page. ISAR3 don't do "Tick Box", we deliver lasting practical skills, staff attitude changes and drive safe practice on site in your workforce. All our courses are underpinned by developing understanding of legal compliance, your organization's policy and SOPs, safe methods of working and develop in your team the skills for dynamic risk evaluation on site -they know how to do it, when to review and when to STOP. We’re based in Plymouth where we are all set up to deliver exceptional high impact learning from our well resourced technical training facility but we also deliver courses across multiple venues around the UK and overseas.

HPC Rescue Supervisor Feedback

My name is Eddie Russell, I have been involved in technical rescue, in local authority fire and rescue services & privately in the renewables sector, oil and gas Rescue planning on HPC. I still learn something every time I go down to the ISAR3 training centre! Vernon Smith is truly a master in class and is my “go to” when I need a second opinion on tricky grey areas in legislation surrounding rescue and area/equipment specific rescue planning. Alongside rescue I am an IRATA level 3 and have supervised rope access projects nationally and internationally. In this role I am responsible for rigging and rescue of the rope access workforce, the advanced rigging course ran at ISAR3 has taken knowledge of the physics and rigging to an even higher level and made me reflect on and improve my practice on industrial rope access projects and rescue projects. The mentoring I have received through the Rescue 3 instructor scheme has given me the structure I need to organise my brain and made me better at imparting my knowledge on others. Great atmosphere and training facilities, I couldn’t recommend a better place to learn the trade or enhance your current practice.

Fire and Rescue Service Senior Technical Leader Feedback

I have attended many courses with Vern at ISAR3 including Rescue 3 qualifications in Water Rescue, Rope Rescue and Confined Space. Under his instruction I have gone on to gain independent status within the Rescue 3 scheme. Every time my knowledge and personal skill set has improved massively, Vern has a delivery style and way of explaining technical subjects that makes the subject easily understood and relevant. His experience and depth of knowledge means he is able to tailor his delivery so that everyone can easily understand and apply the information. I have turned to Vern for professional advice and to draw on his expertise and vast wealth of experience in my role within the Fire Service on many occasions, the most recent being delivering Confined Space input for a working group representing the National Fire Chiefs Council. I have found all the staff at ISAR3 to be very helpful and knowledgeable in the Technical Rescue subjects they are delivering. Senior Technical Leader Devon & somerset Fire and Rescue Service

What our recent trainees have said

I must admit I was dreading this in-person training, for a handful of reasons, but I am really glad I completed it. The training was really practical and engaging which made a nice change. Our instructor was excellent, he had great knowledge, showed a passion for the subject, was clear in his delivery and was approachable. Honestly, I cannot thank him enough for instilling confidence in me and ensuring we all felt safe and prepared under his instruction. I have learnt a great deal from this training course and have already had to put into practice the skills I have learnt and feel much better equipped to do so again in the future.
